What Does It Mean to be “Bible-Minded”?

The term "Bible-minded" might be variously defined depending on who you ask. Does it mean thinking about the Bible a lot? Believing that the Bible is God’s Word? Believing that the Bible is scientifically and/or historically accurate? Something else? Here's what Bible Gateway discovered when it did its own calculations. Read more from Bible Gateway.

What Are Some Good Disciplines for Reading Scripture?

In his latest Bible lesson on Bible Gateway Blog, pastor and author Mel Lawrenz says, "The main principle of reading Scripture for a lifetime of spiritual growth is: just read it. Don’t spend too much time looking for the “just right” study Bible, or other helps. Don’t neglect reading Scripture because you're in a period when you're having a hard time understanding it. And don’t slow down because you haven't found a plan that's right for you." If you want to understand the Bible better, read this installment of his series on our Blog and encourage your friends and followers to receive it by email.
