According to a new survey, the following groups desire to read the Bible more frequently: females over males (68% vs. 54%), Boomers over Millennials (68% vs. 55%), non-white Americans over white Americans (67% vs. 58%), and high-school educated over college graduates (67% vs. 56%).

Germans can now use postage stamps showing an excerpt of Matthew 27 with annotations of Martin Luther, the Reformer who translated the Bible into their own language. The stamps are one of the many initiatives in the country to commemorate the 500 anniversary of the start of the Protestant Reformation in 1517.

January 16 was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the USA to remember and celebrate the achievements of the famous activist and the civil rights movement he championed. The vision Dr. King articulated was deeply rooted in his understanding of the Bible. Many of his most famous speeches were sermons, and all of them drew on his conviction that true love for God and his Word involved actively pursuing justice across racial and ethnic boundaries.
