According to a new study, The State of Pastors is both hopeful and troubling, with unexpected bright spots and worrisome levels of struggle for some clergy. The median age of pastors has risen from 44 to 54 over the last 25 years. One-in-three pastors are at risk of burnout and nearly half face relational risks in their marriages, families, and friendships.

A state bill would create regulations for Kentucky public high schools wanting to offer elective social studies courses on Hebrew scriptures and the Bible. Doing so would familiarize students with biblical characters and narratives that are “prerequisites to understanding contemporary society and culture,” the bill reads.
